The Los Angeles County Medical Examiners\u2019 office says Lisa Marie Presley<\/a><\/strong>, the only child of the iconic musician Elvis Presley<\/a><\/strong>, died earlier this year due to \u201ca small bowel obstruction<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n Presley, who was also a musician, died January 12th<\/a>, just two days after she attended the Golden Globes where she saw Austin Butler<\/a><\/strong> take home the Best Actor award for his portrayal of her father in the film Elvis<\/em>.<\/p>\n Presley\u2019s obstruction \u201cis a known long-term complication\u201d of bariatric weight loss surgery, the medical examiner\u2019s office said. Her surgery was performed \u201cyears ago,\u201d according to the report.<\/p>\n The medical examiner\u2019s report also said Presley had \u201ctherapeutic levels\u201d of oxycodone and other medicine in her system but added that they were not seen as contributing factors to her death.<\/p>\n Presley was once married to Michael Jackson<\/a><\/strong>, another iconic performer.<\/p>\n Following her death in January, the singer\u2019s family battled over her trust. In May, Lisa Marie\u2019s mother, Priscilla Presley<\/strong>, and her daughter Riley Keough<\/strong> reached a settlement<\/a>.<\/p>\n In a statement then, Priscilla shed light on the situation between her and her oldest granddaughter.<\/p>\n
