Tragically, the infant died at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>According to court documents, the baby\u2019s mother told family members that she was putting her baby down for a nap.<\/p>\n<p>It was allegedly an accident that she placed her baby in the oven instead of safely into her crib. She received no probation, and will be credited with time served.<\/p>\n<p>In exchange for her guilty plea, prosecutors dropped the first-degree murder charge.<\/p>\n<p>Even with time served, Thomas is looking at spending more than a decade behind bars.<\/p>\n<p>This absolute horror does not sound like a traditional infanticide, but without a full trial, the public has limited information about how this terrible tragedy unfolded.<\/p>\n<p>At times like these, it\u2019s good to remember that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2026\/09\/lindsay-clancy-judge-declares-mistrial-as-jury-fails-to-reach-a-verdict\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">high-profile cases involving affluent defendants<\/a> tend to get much more information to the public.
