A showgirl must never leave before her encore, and Taylor Swift <\/b><\/a>is ready for hers with an extended version of her 12th album.<\/p>\n

\u201cAbout a year ago, you guys did a truly unfathomable thing. Something that completely blew my mind,\u201d Swift, 36, wrote via Instagram<\/span><\/a> on Wednesday, September 23. \u201cYou gave The Life of a Showgirl <\/i>the biggest first week for an album in history.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift wrote and recorded The Life of a Showgirl <\/i>in between stops on her Eras Tour<\/i>. The LP dropped in October 2025, nearly one year after the global tour came to a close, and quickly broke multiple streaming and purchase records<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI took a trip to Sweden to celebrate with Max [Martin] <\/b>and Shellback<\/b>, my two collaborators on this album,\u201d she noted on Wednesday. \u201cReally we just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in, but there was a studio there and we did what we do when we feel anything at all: We wrote more songs.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAs Taylor Swift enters her The Life of a Showgirl era, it\u2019s evident that her fans are right behind and beside her. Swift, 35, dropped her 12th LP on Friday, October 3, where the 12 song-album quickly broke records across Apple Music, Spotify and other streaming platforms. \u201cTonight all these lives converge here. The pop star added, \u201cI hope you love them, because they were born out of pure gratitude for your exuberance for and celebration of the album we made.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift collaborated with Martin, 55, and Shellback, 41, on four new songs, which will be included on the deluxe edition of The Life of a Showgirl<\/i>, out Friday, September 25.<\/p>\n

One of Swift\u2019s new songs is titled \u201cPatient Zero,\u201d<\/span><\/a> which she previously announced Tuesday, September 22.<\/p>\n
