“I wasn\u2019t on the fence about it, but being 58 \u2026 you know what I\u2019m saying?\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe Django Unchained actor – who had a stroke in 2023 – recalled feeling reassured when he ran into Al Pacino, whose former girlfriend Noor Alfallah gave birth to their son Roman in June 2023 when the Godfather star was 83.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cI did run into Al Pacino, so if I was ever on the fence, I wasn\u2019t on the fence when I talked to him. I was like, \u2018Al, what\u2019s up?\u2019 [He said] \u2018Ah, Jamie, good to see ya. I was worried about ya, Jamie.’<\/p>\n
\n“[He told me] ‘I\u2019m having a baby.’<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI said, \u2018Al, how old are you?\u2019 He said, \u201884.\u2019 I said, \u2018Man, you\u2019re gonna be 84 years old back in the drop-off line.’ [He said] ’84 years old, back in the drop-off line, every time I get out, they pull me back in.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nJamie joked about ageing as his new child grows.<\/p>\n
\nHe quipped: \u201cI even tell my girl, I said, \u2018Look, just hang in there for 12 years.\u2019 If I\u2019m 58, 12 years I\u2019ll be 70 \u2026 you\u2019ll just put a blanket over my thighs, give me some tapioca pudding\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe Back in Action star is feeling “fantastic” following his previous health scare but admitted it has made him a more emotional person.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cI\u2019m feeling fantastic. I went through some stuff; I didn\u2019t know if I was gonna be back here. I cry easily, and I\u2019m crying right now, because I didn\u2019t think I\u2019d see all these beautiful people [again].<\/p>\n
\n\u201cSometimes my daughter says I\u2019m too grateful, because I mean I almost died, so I\u2019m just so thankful for everything.”<\/p>\n
\nJamie previously explained that his daughters take priority over everything and everybody in his life.<\/p>\n
\nThe actor admitted that it’s easy to get carried away by glitz and glamour of the movie business – but he’s now firmly dedicated to his daughters.<\/p>\n
\nHe told Access Hollywood: “You interview a lot of people who are in this crazy business and consistently trying to keep their family as normal as they can \u2026 I used to be a guy that was dedicated to the Hollywood [mentality of] ‘Let’s have fun all the time.’ But now everything I do I consistently think of my two daughters.”<\/p>\n
