Judy Sheindlin<\/strong> has confirmed that she is stepping away from on-camera judging as Judy Justice<\/em> approaches its final episodes in October. She still has plans to work behind the scenes, including on her son Adam Levy<\/strong>‘s show.<\/p>\n

Her decision comes as CBS celebrates her career with the September 22 special Judge Judy: Unfiltered, Unforgettable<\/em>, which aired at 8 p.m. ET\/PT on CBS and is also available to stream on Paramount+.<\/p>\n

Why is Judge Judy retiring?<\/h3>\n

During a September 16 appearance on Good Morning America<\/a><\/em>, Judy <\/strong>discussed the timing of her decision alongside Adam<\/strong>, who leads the syndicated courtroom series Adam’s Law<\/em>.<\/p>\n

She explained that she intends to keep working on creative projects, even as she moves away from her familiar role in front of the camera.<\/p>\n

Is Judge Judy<\/em> ending or Judy Justice<\/em>?<\/h3>\n

The original Judge Judy<\/em> finished its 25-season run in 2021. Judy<\/strong> then moved to Judy Justice<\/em>, which launched that same year.<\/p>\n

Now it’s time for Judy Justice <\/em>to end after a four season run. Luckily for fans, there are still several episodes remaining! The finale isn’t until October 22, 2026<\/strong>, marking the end of her 30-year television career. Episodes are available on Prime Video.<\/p>\n

What will Judge Judy do next?<\/h3>\n

Judy<\/strong> created and executive produces Adam’s Law<\/em>, which premiered on September 14 and is nationally syndicated through CBS Media, and can be watched through broadcast or a television service like Fubo. Adam<\/strong> presides over the cases on that show. <\/p>\n

She has also discussed developing Judyverse<\/em>, an adult animated project inspired by the AI-generated “Baby Judge Judy” videos, according to an interview she did with People<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

“I have a lot of other things of interest,” she told the outlet. \u201cI don\u2019t want to do hair and makeup anymore, but I still want my message to get out there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Judge Judy: Unfiltered, Unforgettable<\/em> will be available to stream the day after its CBS airing.<\/p>\n
