Rita Ora<\/a> has admitted it was difficult to watch her friends get married and have babies while she was still single.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old singer and actress tied the knot with director Taika Waititi, 47, last year but revealed waiting to find true love was difficult as her friends moved on without her.<\/p>\n
On her new track ‘Waiting For You’, Rita sings: \u201cI\u2019d had enough, given up, watched all my friends get married \u2014 lonely under the chandelier.<\/p>\n
“Always kept up my guard,\u2009wasn\u2019t ready for love.\u2009.\u2009.\u2009\u2009just a beat in my heart with no use.\u201d<\/p>\n
And, speaking to The Sun newspaper about the song, Rita explained: “It wasn\u2019t metaphorically. This is literally how I felt.<\/p>\n
\n“A couple of my friends had been like, \u2018Oh my gosh, I\u2019m pregnant\u2019 or \u2018Oh gosh, I\u2019m getting married\u2019.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cLife is happening and everyone is getting older and I felt like it was something that is very relatable.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cPeople think, \u2018Oh well, what about me?\u2019 I thought it was a vulnerable and insightful position for me.”<\/p>\n
\nRita revealed she wanted to be honest with her fans and she believes that other women will connect with her story.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “I think it connects us \u2014 especially girls and women and the social pressure we feel we have to reach.”<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI wanted to be blunt and honest. I knew that if I wanted to do this then I really had to do this \u2014 not like half-heartedly. It took a lot of guts.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI am really proud that I have done it. I was writing the things I was going through at the same time.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI was actually getting married then writing about it. I was living through it. It is an album diary.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
