Keke Palmer<\/a>‘s mom group has been a “real blessing” in her life.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Keke Palmer has a supportive group of friends<\/p>\n
The 33-year-old actress – who has son Leo, three, with former partner Darius Jackson – is thankful she has a group of women she can always rely on for advice and support, and while she hasn’t known them for too long, she knows they are “true friends”.<\/p>\n
She told People magazine: \u201cI love being a mom and my little mom group. We are like thick as thieves, and they\u2019re amazing women.<\/p>\n
\u201cI met them when I put my son into his first school, and they embraced us.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019ve been moms longer than I have \u2014 most of them have two kids, and their kids are older \u2014 so they have been in the game for a while, and with me being a single mom, they just immediately went all hands on deck and were like, \u2018[We\u2019re here for] whatever you need.’<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThat\u2019s what true friends are. It\u2019s been a real blessing in my life to meet those girls, honestly.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe Nope star has embraced a “whole new life” in her local community as a result of her mom group.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cWe\u2019ve always got a plan.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWe play pickleball together, we work out together, we get the kids together. We\u2019re even going to see Oprah soon. We\u2019re so tied up, it\u2019s just crazy. It\u2019s a whole new life.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAnd as a result, Keke can see comparisons between her own life and the character she plays in Peacock comedy-mystery The Burbs.<\/p>\n
\nShe laughed: \u201cThey done got me into a country club.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI literally feel like I\u2019m in The \u2018Burbs, my TV show.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cMy life has gone so meta. It\u2019s almost ridiculous.”<\/p>\n
\nKeke recently expressed her hope that Leo learns happiness is “his to take” and not be afraid to “evolve” as he gets older.<\/p>\n
\nAsked what she hopes her son learns from her, she told Extra: “Just to never be afraid to evolve.<\/p>\n
\n“I think we get so caught up in our storylines, and even when they\u2019re tough, we have a hard time getting out of them, but you can always shape-shift. You can always become someone new and let your happiness, let your joy and your peace, be that guiding force.<\/p>\n
\n“I want him to know that happiness is his to take, but we got to take it, you know?”<\/p>\n
