Dancing With the Stars<\/em><\/a> isn\u2019t a competition for the faint of heart \u2014 as dance pro Emma Slater<\/strong><\/a> can attest to!<\/p>\n

Posting a video via her Instagram<\/a> on Thursday, September 17, Slater, 37, revealed she had suffered a gruelling injury during rehearsal for the show.<\/p>\n

Slater warned in text overlaid on the video: \u201cDon\u2019t watch if you squirm easy!\u201d She then showed her followers her detached toenail.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of people that want to do Dancing With the Stars<\/em>, and they want to experience it, but there\u2019s something you should know,\u201d Slater said in the clip. \u201cIf you do Dancing With the Stars<\/em>, this could happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tDisney\/Andrew Eccles Emma Slater is recuperating after suffering an injury to her ankle while rehearsing for Dancing With the Stars. \u201cSo this happened today,\u201d Slater, 35, began in an Instagram Story video posted on Monday, October 15, before flipping the camera around to show her foot, taped and propped up on a pillow. \u201cThat\u2019s my [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Slater continued, \u201cDo you know what this is? This is my toenail. It\u2019s not a fake toenail. This is my actual toenail, and I had to peel that off just now because it was flip-flopping like a cat door.\u201d<\/p>\n

The dance pro then joked, \u201cYou can imagine what my toe looks like without this being on it. It\u2019s not cute.\u201d<\/p>\n

Slater confirmed the injury<\/a> was as gnarly as it looked, captioning the post, \u201cYup! This one was painful \ud83d\ude23\u201d<\/p>\n

Followers flocked to the comments section to share their sympathies, including one who wrote, \u201cEmma, I felt that pain through the screen \ud83d\ude2d\ud83d\ude02.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Alyson Hannigan<\/strong>, who competed on Dancing With the Stars<\/em>\u2019 Season 32 in 2023, shared that she had suffered a similar ordeal in the past. She wrote, \u201cIt happened to me! \ud83d\ude23\u201d<\/p>\n

Slater, who is paired with Savannah Bananas\u2019 Jackson Olson<\/strong> for this year\u2019s Season 35, previously told Us<\/em> <\/a>that they are going all in for the competition.<\/p>\n
