He is best known for directing <em>All Quiet on the Western Front<\/em> and <em>Conclave<\/em>. The former earned him a Best Adapted Screenplay nomination at the <em>2023 Oscars<\/em>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The global disaster movie followed \u201ca former United Nations worker who travels the planet in a mad search for a cure to the zombie outbreak.\u201d <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/world-war-z-sequel-brad-pitt-back-1236705431\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">THR<\/a><\/em> notes that a sequel has been in the works for years and other directors who were previously attached include <strong>JA Bayona<\/strong> and <strong>David Fincher<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Brad<\/strong> will next be seen in the movie <em>Heart of the Beast<\/em>, which opens in theaters on September
