\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Nicole \u201cSnooki\u201d Polizzi<\/a><\/strong> is sharing some very exciting news \u2013 she\u2019s cancer-free!<\/p>\n Nearly seven months after being diagnosed with stage one cervical cancer<\/a>, the 38-year-old Jersey Shore<\/strong><\/a><\/em> star announced that she\u2019s now \u201con the other side.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAs of right now, I am cancer-free,\u201d she told People<\/em><\/a> in an interview published on Friday, September 18. \u201cThey got everything out. So I\u2019m definitely happy that I did it.\u201d<\/p>\n Following her cancer diagnosis in February, Nicole<\/strong> underwent a hysterectomy in July<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI avoided getting my pap smear for a long time,\u201d she admitted. \u201cAnd once I finally went to the doctors, I feel like it\u2019s just been week after week of doing a procedure, then another procedure, and then a hysterectomy. So, it\u2019s been a journey and a long road, but I\u2019m happy that I\u2019m on the other side of it and everything is going good.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite the good news, Nicole <\/strong>\u2013 who shares kids Lorenzo<\/strong>, 13, Giovanna<\/strong>, 11, and Angelo<\/strong>, 6, with husband Jionni<\/strong> LaVall<\/strong>e<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 said that she\u2019s still taking things one day at a time.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m trying to listen to my body and give my body grace and not go crazy,\u201d she shared. \u201cThere\u2019s days where I do too much and then I just feel exhausted and I start getting pains. But other than that, I\u2019m finally starting to feel better. I feel like I\u2019m almost getting back to myself.\u201d<\/p>\n After admitting that her diagnosis was initially \u201cvery terrifying and scary,\u201d Nicole <\/strong>said she\u2019s grateful for where she is today.<\/p>\n \u201cIn the beginning, I felt so alone,\u201d Nicole<\/strong> said. \u201cI had no idea what was gonna happen. I didn\u2019t know anybody going through cervical cancer. So [speaking out] makes me feel like I\u2019m giving a platform to women dealing with the same things that I did.
