Benny Blanco has shared the secret to his happy marriage with Selena Gomez<\/p>\n
The 38-year-old music producer tied the knot with the actress\/pop star, 34, last year after 18 months of dating and they are preparing to celebrate their first wedding anniversary on September 27 – and Benny has now revealed they get on so well because they are both “very patient people” and don’t get angry “very often”.<\/p>\n
Benny told The Times newspaper: “She\u2019s the best person in the world. I get to work with her and then I get to kiss her at the end of the night. That\u2019s the best … We\u2019re both very patient people. Neither one of us gets angry very often.”<\/p>\n
Benny went on to insist the couple live a “very normal life” and revealed his wife is actually a “little shy”.<\/p>\n

He said: “My wife is very quiet and an observer. If we\u2019re at a big party, neither my wife nor my mother wants to be the centre of attention, which is funny because my wife is the centre of attention in every room she goes in. But they\u2019re both a little shy.”<\/p>\n
\nBenny gave the interview during a rare trip to London to see his wife on her birthday in July while she was in the UK capital filming the latest series of Only Murders In The Building with the music producer sailing over from New York because of his fear of flying.<\/p>\n
\nBenny made the week-long trip with his divorced parents and after arriving in the UK, he made the most of his time in Europe by heading out on a holiday to Italy with Selena.<\/p>\n
\nHe was then planning to sail back to New York and take a tour bus to the couple’s home in Los Angeles, a journey which would take around “41 hours” but Benny admitted he was planning to “stretch it out” by visiting friends along the route.<\/p>\n
\nSelena previously admitted she found Benny’s gesture “very romantic” but she was constantly worried about him while he was sailing across the Atlantic.<\/p>\n
\nShe told People magazine: “I wish he was flying right now, but he doesn\u2019t fly. He took a boat to see me in London [this summer when I was working]. <\/p>\n
\n“It\u2019s very romantic, but also equally stressful if you\u2019re the wife. You\u2019re just hoping he\u2019s safe. I have a handkerchief, I\u2019m crying, I\u2019m waving him off and [sings] ‘I\u2019ll be saving you …’ Yeah, it\u2019s my life.”<\/p>\n
