Miley Cyrus is worried she’ll ‘get the ick’ with Maxx Morando<\/p>\n
The 33-year-old pop star got engaged to the Liily drummer in 2025 after six years together, but there’s one concern she has about their relationship once they do tie the knot.<\/p>\n
She told Zane Lowe on Apple Music: “We’ve been together six years, and I’ve never gotten the ick.<\/p>\n
“All of a sudden I got in my head, I was like, \u2018Oh my God, we\u2019re about to get married. What if I get the ick?’<\/p>\n
\t\t\t<\/p>\n
“I asked him, ‘What happens if you get the ick once you\u2019re married?’<\/p>\n
\n“He\u2019s like, ‘You deal with it and you move on and you don\u2019t be a baby. The ick is for when you\u2019re in fifth grade.'”<\/p>\n
\nIt wasn’t long after that conversation that Maxx, 27, did something that really irked the Wrecking Ball hitmaker.<\/p>\n
\nShe laughed: “He something that icked me for a minute. I was like, ‘Don’t ever do that again. It gave me the ick.'”<\/p>\n
\nIt’s not just one way though, as Miley admitted she’s got her own frustrating behaviours.<\/p>\n
\nThe Flowers singer noted if she’s not in charge, she can get “really stinky about it”.<\/p>\n
\nRevealing what gets under Maxx’s skin, Miley added: “He said, ‘When you’re a brat’, which is so true. I’m so icky when I’m a brat.”<\/p>\n
\nHowever, the traits they love about each other are much more important.<\/p>\n
\nMiley said: “What I also love is I\u2019m not totally the boss in our house. It’s like a sense of relief that I can actually soften into, because he\u2019s going to watch this and be like, ‘You\u2019re not the boss. We\u2019re both the boss.'”<\/p>\n
\nMiley insisted there is a key lesson there which “generations prior” didn’t always pass on.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: “Marriage doesn’t need to be a prison. It can actually be a playground.”<\/p>\n
\nThe star – who was married to Liam Hemsworth between 2018 and 2020 before meeting Maxx on a blind date set up by friends – previously described love as “dynamic and complex”.<\/p>\n
\nOpening up about her new album Bass Persuades, she told Wonderland Magazine: “This album is a love story, but love stories are never one-dimensional. They\u2019re always layered. <\/p>\n
\n“There is definitely a romantic thread weaving through it because, like all my records, it\u2019s a reflection of where I am in my life. But this one feels especially meaningful because this feeling has stayed with me through multiple eras. <\/p>\n
\n“That\u2019s something I hadn\u2019t really experienced before. A peaceful kind of love has become a theme across my last three records. Not just the love I share with someone else, but the love I\u2019ve found for myself. That\u2019s probably been the biggest evolution.”<\/p>\n
