But additional performers, presenters, and special guests are still to come so this is not the complete lineup!<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"h-what-are-they-performing\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are they performing?<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Lisa<\/strong> is returning to the stage for the TV debut of her single, \u201cSaWaDiKa,\u201d from her upcoming EP PRESS PLAY, which will be released on October 23. <\/li>\n<li><strong>RAYE<\/strong> will make her VMAs performance debut. MTV didn\u2019t share what song she will perform, but she has been nominated in the Song of the Year category for \u201cWhere Is My Husband!\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shaboozey<\/strong> is making his VMAs performance debut with his single \u201cCowgirl,\u201d and he will be joined by <strong>Gunna<\/strong> for the first broadcast performance of their \u201cHigh Noon\u201d collab.<\/li>\n<li><strong>GENER8ION<\/strong> and <strong>Yung Lean<\/strong> will take the stage for the world premiere performance of STORM II.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sienna Spiro<\/strong> is also making her VMAs performance debut as she competes for Best New Artist. Her exact song hasn\u2019t been revealed, but it will likely be off of her debut album Visitor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"h-who-else-is-performing\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who else is performing?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/tags\/madonna\/\" class=\"celebrity-tag-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong class=\"celebrity-tag-strong\">Madonna<\/strong><\/a> will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/2026\/09\/16\/madonna-opening-mtv-vmas-2026-announcement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">open the 2026 MTV VMAs<\/a> with her first performance at an award show in over 20 years! She is this year\u2019s ceremony opener and the last time she performed at the show was in 2003, featuring her iconic kiss with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/tags\/britney-spears\/\" class=\"celebrity-tag-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong class=\"celebrity-tag-strong\">Britney Spears<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/tags\/christina-aguilera\/\" class=\"celebrity-tag-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong class=\"celebrity-tag-strong\">Christina Aguilera<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She\u2019s also the most nominated artist of the ceremony this year, with 11 nominations amid the release of her album <em>Confessions II<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/2026\/09\/10\/snoop-dogg-to-host-mtv-vmas-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">This year\u2019s ceremony will be hosted by <strong>Snoop Dogg<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"h-when-and-where-can-viewers-watch\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">When and where can viewers watch?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The VMAs take place on Sunday, September 27 at 7:30 p.m. ET \/ 4:30 p.m. PT<\/strong> at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
