class=\"celebrity-tag-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong class=\"celebrity-tag-strong\">Trey Parker<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/tags\/matt-stone\/\" class=\"celebrity-tag-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong class=\"celebrity-tag-strong\">Matt Stone<\/strong><\/a> announced that the show was changing its name to <em>South America<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The temporary rebrand is a joke about President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/tags\/donald-trump\/\" class=\"celebrity-tag-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong class=\"celebrity-tag-strong\">Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/2026\/08\/27\/trump-changes-name-of-lake-ontario-to-lake-america-read-the-full-executive-order\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">renaming Lake Ontario<\/a> as Lake America, and Apple and Google subsequently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justjared.com\/2026\/08\/30\/google-maps-renames-lake-ontario-to-lake-america-for-u-s-users-after-donald-trump-signs-executive-order\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">updating their maps<\/a> in the United States to reflect the new name.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cInspired by the bravery and patriotism of Apple and Google, we are changing the name of South Park to <em>SOUTH AMERICA<\/em>,\u201d <strong>Trey<\/strong> and <strong>Matt<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/trey-parker-matt-stone-south-park-trump-d8167d14ff99a34e4f4e97f022fb5fc3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said while<\/a> announcing the change.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They also took a jab at the show\u2019s parent company, adding, \u201cWe especially want to thank our parent company Paramount \u2014 a Skydance Capitulation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <em>South America<\/em> name is carrying over into the Season 29 premiere.<\/p>\n<h3 premiere is titled \u201cSouth American Biker Gangs\u201d and will focus on the arrival of e-bikes in town.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhen e-bikes arrive in South America, the boys take over the streets and the parents of South America can hardly recognize South America,\u201d reads the official synopsis.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"h-what-s-the-south-park-season-29-episode-schedule\"
