Benny Blanco is ready for a family with Selena Gomez<\/p>\n
The 38-year-old music producer, who married the Only Murders In The Building actress in September 2025, has admitted he’s “pressing” the idea after his wife shared an Instagram Story earlier this month showing herself with a newborn baby and her hopes that “one day” she’d have one of her own.<\/p>\n
Appearing on Today with Jenna and Sheinelle, he said: “Yeah. I’m pressing it. I’m full-court press over here.”<\/p>\n
In October 2025 Selena, 34, shared another post celebrating her role in Wizards of Waverly Place’s Disney+ revival sequel series Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t<\/p>\n
Referencing her character, she wrote: “Alex Russo is a mommy. Hopefully one day that’ll be me.”<\/p>\n
\nAnd in March this year, the couple had a joint interview in which they revealed they can’t wait to try and start a family.<\/p>\n
\nSelena told the Jay Shetty Podcast: “I don\u2019t know what will happen, obviously, but I love children.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI love making [children] laugh; they\u2019re just so sweet. So absolutely, when that day comes, I\u2019m so excited for it.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nBenny noted that his wife will “immediately go to the kids and has these conversations for hours with the kids” whenever she has the chance.<\/p>\n
\nHe added: “When you started doing this you were a kid and that was your way to connect to people and I feel like you still feel like you have that obligation to connect with young kids.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cYou shaped so many young people\u2019s lives, whether it was Barney, Wizards [of Waverly Place]… you\u2019re still finding your way to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nSelena previously explained that she is unable to carry her children, which is something she has “had to grieve” over the years.<\/p>\n
\nShe told Vanity Fair: \u201cI haven\u2019t ever said this … but I unfortunately can\u2019t carry my own children.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby\u2019s in jeopardy. That was something I had to grieve for a while\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
\nSelena, who was diagnosed with lupus in 2015 and has bipolar, noted she is “in a much better place” with her situation.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “I find it a blessing that there are wonderful people willing to do surrogacy or adoption, which are both huge possibilities for me.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt made me really thankful for the other outlets for people who are dying to be moms. I\u2019m one of those people.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI\u2019m excited for what that journey will look like, but it\u2019ll look a little different. At the end of the day, I don\u2019t care. It\u2019ll be mine. It\u2019ll be my baby.\u201d<\/p>\n
