Ed Sheeran<\/strong><\/a> is losing two more opening acts.<\/p>\n

The day after it was announced that Macklemore<\/strong><\/a> has been removed from the Loop Tour<\/em> <\/strong>after making pro-Palestine comments<\/a>, Grammy winner Finneas<\/strong><\/a> and Irish singer Aaron Rowe<\/strong><\/a> both announced that they were dropping out of the tour.<\/p>\n

If you didn’t know, Macklemore<\/strong>, Finneas<\/strong>, and Aaron<\/strong> were all serving as opening acts on the North American leg of Ed<\/strong>‘s tour.<\/p>\n

Why Finneas dropped out of the tour<\/h3>\n

Finneas<\/strong> took to Instagram<\/a> on Tuesday (September 15) to announce that he has pulled out of Ed’s tour.<\/p>\n

“Artists must not be silenced when they speak up for the oppressed,” he began. “I have decided to withdraw from my upcoming tour dates with Ed Sheeran.”<\/p>\n

“I stand with Palestine and its people,” Finneas<\/strong> concluded his message.<\/p>\n

Why Aaron Rowe is dropping out of Loop Tour<\/em><\/h3>\n

In an message shared on his Instagram<\/a>, Aaron<\/strong> wrote, \u201cI have made the decision to withdraw as a support act for Ed Sheeran\u2019s \u2018The Loop\u2019 North American Tour. I don\u2019t take the decision lightly. Ed has been a friend to me and has changed my life, I could never thank him enough for this.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut as Irish people we know all too well about genocide, forced famine and violent occupation,\u201d he continued. \u201cI cannot stand by and allow billionaires to use their position of power to silence the rightful voices of those who speak up against Israeli genocide and who highlight the savage murder of children.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI would lose all respect for myself to carry on as normal,\u201d Aaron<\/strong> wrote. \u201cI need to be true to myself and my ancestors who resisted colonisation, and fought for a freedom that I enjoy today in Ireland.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Irish singer ended his statement by declaring, \u201cFree Palestine.\u201d<\/p>\n

Macklemore addresses exit from tour<\/h3>\n

After making his controversial pro-Palestine comments while opening for Ed<\/strong> at New Jersey\u2019s MetLife Stadium earlier this month, he was removed from the tour<\/a>, despite being scheduled to perform at several more shows.<\/p>\n

Macklemore<\/strong> then released a statement accusing billionaire New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft<\/strong><\/a> of rallying fellow stadium owners to ban the rapper from the tour<\/a> due to his comments.<\/p>\n

Robert<\/strong> later confirmed that he did not want Macklemore<\/strong><\/a> performing at Gillette Stadium, though he did not address the claim that he rallied other stadium owners.<\/p>\n
