RJ Decker<\/em> shocked viewers by killing off a major character in the season 1 finale, but how worried should fans be about the fates of others in season 2?<\/p>\n

During Us\u2019 visit to the RJ Decker<\/em> set in Florida for their Dancing With the Stars<\/em> crossover<\/a>, Jaina Lee Ortiz, Kevin Rankin, Adelaide Clemens<\/strong> and Bevin Bru<\/strong> teased what is still to come after Victor (David Zayas) was murdered.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first couple episodes are really centered around trying to find who killed Victor. I will say that it\u2019s going to be quite the reveal \u2014 to say the least,\u201d said Bru, 35, who plays Mel. \u201cRJ Decker really gets complicated.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bru hinted that the show \u201clevels up\u201d as a result, adding, \u201cAlso for Emi\u2019s character, it\u2019s very painful to have to be dealing with that and just how people are hounding her during this super vulnerable time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clemens, 36, meanwhile, teased \u201cfamily complications\u201d<\/a> stemming from the twist. Rankin, 50, added that season 2 is \u201ca new time for the Scooby Gang.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re getting a little more organized. We\u2019re becoming more of a team. It\u2019s about starting anew,\u201d he told Us. \u201cRJ\u2019s out in the world now. So we\u2019re just trying to figure out what it\u2019s like to be truly free.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for how Victor\u2019s death affects the others, Clemens shared, \u201cYou also gotta be worried, because when someone that powerful is under, things get messy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Based on Carl Hiaasen<\/strong>\u2018s novel Double Whammy<\/em>, RJ Decker<\/em> focuses on a disgraced newspaper photographer and ex-con who \u201cstarts over as a private investigator in the colorful-if-crime-filled world of South Florida, tackling cases that range from slightly odd to outright bizarre, with the help of his journalist ex, her police detective wife and a shadowy new benefactor \u2014 a woman from his past who could be his greatest ally \u2026 or his one-way ticket back to prison,\u201d per the synopsis.<\/p>\n

When the ABC show\u2019s first season ended<\/a> in April, Emi\u2019s (Ortiz) father was killed after being arrested for his crimes. Ortiz, 39, told Us<\/em> that Emi will have to adjust to the new normal in her personal life next season.<\/p>\n

\u201cEmi\u2019s journey for season 2 is quite the experience. She\u2019s left off at the end of season 1 not knowing that her dad was murdered. So now she has to pick up the pieces of that and discover who she is, what her purpose is and what she\u2019s meant to be and how she walks through the world without having her dad in the spotlight,\u201d she told Us. \u201cLuckily, RJ comes in to relieve some of that pain and that grief.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cIt\u2019s interesting, because she and her dad had a contentious relationship and there\u2019s no closure. There are a lot of unanswered questions and there\u2019s a lot of just leftover feelings that don\u2019t get to be placed anywhere. On top of just the lightness of the show, it has a blend of the levity and the emotional drama.\u201d<\/p>\n
