The Pitt<\/em> star Shawn Hatosy<\/strong> reflected on the challenges that come with adapting to the show\u2019s cast changes.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cYou start a show \u2014 and I\u2019ve started a couple of them \u2014 and you just don\u2019t know if it\u2019s going to make it, if it\u2019s going to last a season or if it\u2019s going to last five episodes,\u201d Hatosy, 50, exclusively told Us<\/em> at Warner Bros. Television Group\u2019s 78th Primetime Emmy Awards Nominees Celebration on Sunday, September 13. \u201cSo you start out [and] it\u2019s very exciting because you don\u2019t know what\u2019s in store and you become this family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hatosy, who plays Dr. Abbot, recalled how the cast bonded<\/a>, adding, \u201cYou work long hours. Although we don\u2019t work long hours in The Pitt, you do spend a lot of time together, and it\u2019s stressful \u2014 some of the work \u2014 sometimes. So you lean on each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cAnd then \u2014 if you\u2019re lucky \u2014 you get to go to the Emmy Awards and do these kinds of events. So you really get to know each other. The fact that sometimes we \u2014 particularly with the nature of the show and how people do leave \u2014 it\u2019s hard. It\u2019s hard on us, but that\u2019s television.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the shakeups, Hatosy has a positive outlook on The Pitt<\/em>\u2018s<\/a> future following its 12 nominations at the Emmys, which take place on Monday, September 14.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019ll go for as long as the writers have stories in their brains to deliver,\u201d Hatosy told Us on Sunday. \u201cI don\u2019t see it stopping. It\u2019s an efficient show. It\u2019s shot here in L.A. It\u2019s not expensive. It makes a lot of sense.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hatosy went on to tease what fans can expect from season 3, which will debut in January 2027.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know it starts early in the day. It\u2019s no secret that we\u2019re gonna see a little bit of the night shift before Robby comes back,\u201d he noted. \u201cI think we all know that he does because otherwise we don\u2019t have a season.\u201d<\/p>\n
