That charge was later dismissed after she declined to testify. The report also stated that the juror\u2019s teenage nephew obtained a restraining order against him last year, alleging that the man had assaulted him.<\/p>\n<p>The juror was reportedly still subject to that order while serving on the Clancy jury.<\/p>\n<p>NBC10 also reported that the man was facing an eviction case over unpaid rent, with his landlord having obtained a judgment of more than $12,000.<\/p>\n<p>Naturally, this raised questions about how exactly he made it through the jury-selection process for one of the most closely watched trials in Massachusetts.<\/p>\n<p>But DeSantis wasn\u2019t interested in piling on.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, he came to the juror\u2019s defense \u2014 and offered him a new home.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">A man objected to allowing a woman to kill her three young kids and get away with it, so NBC is trying to smear that juror, whose identity should be protected.
