Netflix<\/strong><\/a> announced on Sunday (September 13) that Scooby-Doo: Origins<\/em><\/strong><\/a> has officially wrapped production ahead of its global premiere on the streaming service in 2027.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Who Is Playing the Scooby-Doo: Origins<\/em> Characters?<\/h3>\n

The upcoming live-action series stars Mckenna Grace<\/strong> as Daphne Blake, Tanner Hagen<\/strong> as Shaggy Rogers, Abby Ryder Fortson<\/strong> as Velma Dinkley and Maxwell Jenkins<\/strong> as Fred Jones.<\/p>\n

The cast also includes Paul Walter Hauser<\/strong>, Rusty Schwimmer<\/strong>, Peter Macon<\/strong>, Maxwell Simkins<\/strong>, Jona Xiao<\/strong>, Dani Deett\u00e9<\/strong>, Elys\u00e9e Sanvill\u00e9<\/strong>, Alex Isles<\/strong>, Avery Kristen Pohl<\/strong>, Pamela Mitchell<\/strong>, Ross Kimball<\/strong>, Sara Gilbert<\/strong>, Wynn Everett<\/strong>, Sauriyan Sapkota<\/strong>, Bruce McGill<\/strong>, Andr\u00e9 Benjamin <\/strong>(Andre 3000<\/strong>) and Cathy Moriarty<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

What Is Scooby-Doo: Origins <\/em>About?<\/h3>\n

The series is described as a modern reimagining of the Mystery Inc. gang, following longtime friends Shaggy and Daphne during their final summer at camp. They become involved in a mystery surrounding a lost Great Dane puppy who may have witnessed a supernatural murder, eventually teaming up with Velma and Freddy to investigate.<\/p>\n

The series will also make some franchise history: Scooby-Doo will be portrayed by a real Great Dane for the first time in the franchise\u2019s more than 50-year history.<\/p>\n

Josh Appelbaum <\/strong>and Scott Rosenberg <\/strong>serve as writers, showrunners and executive producers. <\/p>\n
