Thomas Bezucha<\/strong>, who wrote and directed the first movie, will be returning for the sequel, which is titled The Families Stone<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s the logline for the sequel, per Variety<\/a><\/em>: <\/p>\n \u201cTwenty years after their mother\u2019s passing, the Stone family reunites for Christmas only to face the season\u2019s biggest surprise: their father has unexpectedly invited the woman he\u2019s fallen in love with to meet the family.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n The majority of the cast will be returning for the sequel, which doesn\u2019t have a release date.<\/p>\n Absent, of course, is the late Diane Keaton<\/strong><\/a>, who starred as family matriarch Sybil Stone.
