Supriya Ganesh<\/strong> just revealed<\/a> whether she plans to watch The Pitt<\/em> after her surprise exit from the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, fan for life,\u201d Ganesh, 28, told E! News<\/em><\/a> on Thursday, September 10. \u201cThey also gave me such a start to my career. I will watch it to the extent that I watched season 1 and season 2.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cI might watch it more. I get self-conscious about my work so now I don\u2019t have the barrier of watching myself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ganesh also reflected on the lessons she learned<\/a> from working with Noah Wyle<\/strong>, saying, \u201cHe was really great about talking about his experience and what it was like being on ER and I feel like I learned a lot about that through him.\u201d<\/p>\n

News broke in April that Ganesh would be written out of the show after season 2. The decision received backlash from fans who were still upset about Tracy Ifeachor<\/strong>\u2018s exit after season 1. Both departures were referred to as a creative choice.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s sort of the nature of the show. Unfortunately, the way the medical profession works, you come in, you learn, you move on, and we want to try and be as truthful to that process as possible,\u201d creator R. Scott Gemmill explained to Us at the time. \u201cSo we\u2019re going to turn over our cast. But I think it\u2019s a great launching pad for people, and that\u2019s the best we can do.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a separate interview, Gemmill addressed the criticism<\/a> surrounding multiple women of color leaving The Pitt<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt eliminates the false jeopardy some shows have,\u201d he told Vulture. \u201c[Mohan] is somebody who doesn\u2019t have a job lined up and might not know where she\u2019s going next, and we\u2019re trying to build up the uncertainty that these young physicians face.\u201d<\/p>\n

The interviewer pointed out to Gemmill that the show\u2019s two major departures have both been women of color. In response, Gemmill called it \u201cjust a by-product of having a diverse cast,\u201d adding, \u201cWe have a lot of women, and a lot of women of color. It\u2019s just a coincidence more than anything else.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wyle, 55, also defended the casting shakeup.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cEmergency rooms have a high revolving door,\u201d Wyle told Variety at PaleyFest\u2019s screening of The Pitt earlier this month. \u201cAs always, we try to bring in new characters or promote from within as we go through these cast changes and try to keep the story lines fresh.\u201d<\/p>\n
