Charlie Hunnam<\/a> has admitted the idea for his new Sons of Anarchy TV show came to him in \u201cseveral dreams\u201d. <\/p>\n

Charlie Hunnam reveals Legends idea came to him in ‘several dreams’<\/p>\n

The 46-year-old actor will be playing himself in Legends – a meta-thriller series about the cast of the motorcycle drama, in which he played Jax Teller. <\/p>\n

He will be reuniting with co-stars Ron Perlman<\/a>, Katey Sagal, Maggie Siff, Mark Boone Junior, Tommy Flanagan, Kim Coates, and Theo Rossi in the series, and told The Hollywood Reporter about the inspiration for the show.<\/p>\n

Charlie said: \u201c[It was] really born out of me having several dreams over a period of time about us all being back together.<\/p>\n

\t\t\t<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously something in my subconscious was yearning for that experience \u2014 to have another creative process with that group of people that I loved. So I wrote something that would allow that to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nA description of Legends reads: \u201cWhen the cast of\u00a0Sons of Anarchy\u00a0reunites at a fan convention after more than a decade, the line between life and art blurs as the fractured brotherhood finds itself up against a real-world threat more dangerous than anything they ever faced in their show.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nHowever, Charlie went on to stress that Legends is \u201cdefinitely not season 8 of\u00a0Sons of Anarchy\u201d.<\/p>\n

\nHe added: \u201cIt\u2019s the same group of actors, but we are all playing ourselves, going on a mad adventure, and coming together after 10 years apart, although maintaining deep friendship in that time.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nDespite Charlie\u2019s admission about the show premise coming to him in dreams, his castmates have previously spoken about the concept, with Rossi telling Entertainment Weekly that it\u2019s been an idea that\u2019s been floating around \u201cfor years\u201d. <\/p>\n

\nBut it wasn\u2019t until he heard the idea from Charlie that Rossi – who played Juice in Sons of Anarchy – that he realised it was \u201cjust so crazy it might work\u201d. <\/p>\n

\nHe said: \u201c\u201cI\u2019ve read a lot scripts, and he\u2019s [Charlie] done something very different, very smart.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cCharlie\u2019s such a great writer, and he has so much passion for how he wanted to do this. It\u2019s like\u00a0Galaxy Quest\u00a0meets\u00a0Curb Your Enthusiasm; it\u2019s this heightened, crazy world.\u201d<\/p>\n
