Katie Thurston<\/strong><\/a> is sharing a glimpse of her recent liposuction procedure amid her battle with breast cancer.<\/p>\n \u201c24 hours apart. Still swollen and healing,\u201d the Bachelorette alum, 35, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Thursday, September 10, alongside before-and-after photos from the surgery on her chin.<\/p>\n \u201cStitches under my chin,\u201d she continued. \u201cI had a tiny drain where that dot is by my ear. The drain was removed next day. I\u2019ll do a more in-depth video as I continue to learn things and see the progress over the next few weeks to months.\u201d<\/p>\n In another post, Thurston shared a photo of herself sitting on a couch with bandages wrapped around her head as she snuggled with her dog.<\/p>\n \u201cOnly sharing my journey for transparency and for those who are interested,\u201d she wrote over the photo. \u201cNot trying to influence you to do this or make a statement about what is and isn\u2019t beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n Thurston continued, \u201cWe often compare ourselves to others, and I think it\u2019s important to be open and honest about things like this so that we are being realistic. And if people want to remain private about what they do to feel better about themselves, that\u2019s OK. I just want to remind everyone that we do live in a world of cosmetic procedures, filters and FaceTune. And at the end of the day, do what makes YOU happy.\u201d<\/p>\n Thurston revealed her decision to undergo chin liposuction on Wednesday, September 9.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter so many required medical surgeries, I decided to do one for myself,\u201d she wrote via Instagram. \u201cI\u2019m all about transparency. Never had Botox. Never had filler. But today I did, in fact, have chin lipo.\u201d<\/p>\n Thurston announced her cancer diagnosis<\/a> in February 2025. Within months, the cancerous tissue spread to her liver, elevating her diagnosis to stage IV. She has since tried a variety of treatment options, including different medications and a double mastectomy.<\/p>\n In June, Thurston opted to delay her latest biopsy for the sake of her mental health.<\/p>\n \u201cI am confidently going to decline both a liver biopsy and a new medication for another four weeks. Tomorrow I am switching to zoladex.
