Suki Waterhouse<\/a> insists “no one gave a f***” about the “scary” side of the fashion world.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Suki Waterhouse has opened up about the dark side of the modelling world<\/p>\n
The 34-year-old singer and model has reflected on her early career when she started out aged 16, admitting there was “loads of bulls*** going on” at the time.<\/p>\n
She told Nylon magazine: “I knew of a lot of bad things happening to girls that I was around at the time and friends of mine.<\/p>\n
“It\u2019s really scary. I\u2019ve done shoots with people that have later been convicted.\u201d<\/p>\n
\t\t\t<\/p>\n
The outlet noted that at one point, Suki encountered a photographer who “told her he didn\u2019t have any clothes to put her in \u2014 and suggested she do the shoot nude”.<\/p>\n
\nThe star said: “You wouldn\u2019t ever even complain to your agency. No one gave a f*** if you had something to say.<\/p>\n
\n“What are you going to say back to them if they all sit you down and say, \u2018Your measurements aren\u2019t good,\u2019 or, \u2018You need to lose weight?\u2019<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIf you seem to be difficult in any way, they really do not care to keep you around.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nSuki previously opened up about how she struggled with internal “turmoil” after becoming a first-time mother when she and Robert Pattinson welcomed their daughter into the world in March 2024.<\/p>\n
\nShe told Variety: “Internally, there\u2019s been quite a lot of turmoil and just wondering if I\u2019m doing the right thing. And especially, oh my God, the hormones right after you have a baby are so intense.<\/p>\n
\n“It\u2019s like [I got] belief back in myself, and then also being \u2026 I don\u2019t want to say back in love with my partner, because it sounds like I was out of it, which I was never. <\/p>\n
\n“But it\u2019s also a new relationship. Your old relationship has been wiped out, and so it\u2019s building that new one and kind of celebrating the beauty in that, like, we\u2019ve survived this.”<\/p>\n
\nThe Daisy Jones and The Six star went on to explain why the couple decided to keep their daughter’s life as “private as possible”.<\/p>\n
\nShe added: “I think it really is possible to keep as much of your life private as possible. You can have both. But you don\u2019t want someone to recognise your kid in the street; it\u2019s a safety thing … <\/p>\n
\n“What if she wants to be a really cool scientist?. Twenty years from now we’ll see if she wants to do anything in the public eye … [However, she] is, unfortunately, quite theatrical.”<\/p>\n
