The two actors have recreated their dynamic from the HBO series in a commercial for Jake Paul’s online gambling app Betr, and the producer has branded the concept “trash and theft”.<\/p>\n
Doug fumed on X: \u201cI have zero positivity in watching things I busted my ass [off] on for years [be] turned into garbage.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is trash and theft. Period.\u201d<\/p>\n
\t\t\t<\/p>\n
He stressed he is not involved with the advert in any way.<\/p>\n
\nHe wrote: \u201cI think it\u2019s pretty damn obvious I didn\u2019t write it. My god.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe also blasted the \u201cGod-awful commercial\u201d in a separate video shared to Instagram and insisted it is “embarrassing” to all who worked on Entourage.<\/p>\n
\nHe fumed: \u201cI know there\u2019s a lot of people out there who like to criticise us and tell us we weren\u2019t great \u2014 we were, this wasn\u2019t.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt\u2019s just embarrassing. A lot of times, people know, in Hollywood don\u2019t give the writer the credit they deserve. And I\u2019m not talking about me, I\u2019m talking about all the people that worked on the show.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nDoug then hit out at Adrian and Jeremy and accused the Mr. Selfridge actor of trying to distance himself from Entourage in recent years.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cWe found these people. We cast these people.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI actually had to beg Piven to do the show, \u2018cause he didn\u2019t wanna do it. And he didn\u2019t wanna talk about it afterwards, like he wanted to get away from it \u2018cause he had so much better s*** going on.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe screenwriter insisted he has “no bitterness” but feels his work has been cheapened.<\/p>\n
\nHe ranted: \u201cI watch it and I wanna throw up. Because I would suffer, along with many other people, over every syllable [of the show]. Every f***in\u2019 word. So I watch this trash, this s***, and go, \u2018Ugh.\u2019 There\u2019s no bitterness. I want everyone to get paid, get rich. Just f***in\u2019 do your own s***.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe captioned the post. \u201cMany people worked really hard to make our show as good as it was.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWhen I see cheap, s***ty imitations that try to pass for what we did it makes me puke. Guess I\u2019m stupid like that. Agree?\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe ad sees Jeremy at a party, seemingly playing himself, when he listens to Jake pitch Betr before bumping into Adrian and convincing him to become a spokesperson for the app.<\/p>\n
\nJeremy tells Jake at the end: \u201cI got your two superstar faces for your superstar app. We\u2019re in, baby. You\u2019re gonna have to pay us.\u201d<\/p>\n
