The Gentlemen<\/strong><\/a><\/em> star Kaya Scodelario<\/strong><\/a> is addressing those Meghan Markle<\/strong><\/a> rumors.<\/p>\n

Shortly after it was revealed that the 45-year-old Duchess of Sussex, husband Prince Harry<\/strong><\/a>, and their two young kids were moving back to the UK<\/a>, it was reported that one of the reasons behind the move was because Meghan<\/strong> was in talks to appear <\/a>on the upcoming third season of the hit Netflix series.<\/p>\n

However, before any official casting announcement was even made, another report claimed that Meghan<\/strong> had been dropped from the show<\/a> because the \u201cbacklash in the UK was so intense, it became untenable to go forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

While promoting the newly released second season of The Gentlemen<\/em>, Kaya<\/strong>, who plays Susie Glass on the series, was asked about the Meghan<\/strong> casting rumors.<\/p>\n

\u201cI, unfortunately, have no decision-making abilities,” the 34-year-old actress said during her Wednesday (September 9) appearance on Today<\/a><\/em>. \u201cI wish I did because I would love to cast the show myself; I\u2019d put all my friends in it.\u201d<\/p>\n

After further stressing that she has no idea whether the rumors that Meghan<\/strong> will be appearing on season three of the show are true, Kaya<\/strong> said that she would be on board if they are.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know. I think what\u2019s wonderful about our show is that we have these characters pop up and we get these great guest actors come in, sprinkle a little bit of their magic into the characters and make really memorable scenes out of them,\u201d Kaya<\/strong> said. \u201cIt\u2019s one of things I like most about the show. We have wonderful guest actors in season 2, and the more the merrier. Everyone, have a go!”<\/p>\n
