Megan Thee Stallion<\/a> is currently working on an “anime-style series”.<\/p>\n

Megan Thee Stallion is working on a new project<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old rap star has joined forces with Carl Jones, who created the animated series The Boondocks, to work on the project, and Megan is relishing the experience.<\/p>\n

Speaking to InStyle, Megan shared: “I was like, \u2018Carl, I want my own anime-style series and I wouldn\u2019t want to do it with anybody else other than you.\u2019”<\/p>\n

The rapper has embraced the challenge of working outside of her comfort zone.<\/p>\n

\t\t\t<\/p>\n

She said: “I\u2019m voicing my own character. Going in the studio and being Megan Thee Stallion<\/a>, like, I can record something and I know what voice I\u2019m going to do it in. Boom. This is what it sounds like over the track. That is easy. But voice acting for a character is really different. <\/p>\n

\n“When I saw it back the first time, I was like, Oh hell no. I did that way too dry. I got to be more animated. I got to make my inflection different here and there. I\u2019ve been having a lot of fun doing my voice acting.”<\/p>\n

\nMeanwhile, Nneka Onuorah previously hailed Megan as the “definition of strength”.<\/p>\n

\nThe director helmed the rap star’s Prime Video documentary, Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words, and Nneka subsequently praised the “resilience” of the Mamushi hitmaker.<\/p>\n

\nNneka told TIME: “Most of us say we’re strong, but we’ve never had millions of people every day lying on us, saying negative things about us.<\/p>\n

\n“I commend Megan for her resilience throughout this process to still come out on top. She truly is the definition of strength to me.”<\/p>\n

\nMegan was shot in the foot by rapper Tory Lanez in July 2020, and she opened up about her struggles in the documentary.<\/p>\n

\nNneka believes that Megan’s story is still “so relatable” – despite her fame and success.<\/p>\n

\nNneka said: “This film is Megan’s open book into her heart during one of the hardest times of her life.<\/p>\n

\n“It highlights how grief and depression can take a toll on your life and your experiences. There\u2019s so much grief in the world right now, which is why I feel like this story is so relatable.”<\/p>\n
