Malcolm-Jamal Warner<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s widow, Tenisha Warner<\/strong>, claimed she is at \u201crisk\u201d of losing her Georgia home due to mounting debt.<\/p>\n

According to court documents obtained by Us<\/em> on Wednesday, September 9, Tenisha, 48, revealed that the home she and daughter MacKenzie, 9, has a \u201csignificant mortgage of approximately $700,000 in debt\u201d following Malcolm\u2019s death last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cWithout adequate funding, Tenisha and MacKenzie risk losing their Georgia home,\u201d the docs read.<\/p>\n

Tenisha alleged her mother-in-law, Pamela Warner<\/strong>, \u201crelies on what she calls \u2018a separate trust in Georgia (the Grace Holdings Trust) wherein Malcolm purchased a residence for his wife, Tenisha and his daughter,\u2019 as if Malcolm, Tenisha, and MacKenzie did not live in that Georgia home together as a family while he was alive.\u201d She insisted the Georgia home is the \u201csole asset\u201d of that alleged trust.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tA close friend of Malcolm-Jamal Warner\u2018s widow, Tenisha Warner, made a GoFundMe on her behalf amid the legal battle over the late actor\u2019s estate. \u201cI have been Tenisha Warner\u2019s closest friend for 19 years,\u201d Tenisha\u2019s friend Destiny Rael wrote in the introduction of the GoFundMe, which was created on Tuesday, August 11. \u201cI am the [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Tenisha also claimed that her mother-in-law sold the California home that Malcolm intended to leave her. (Pamela was named the successor trustee of Malcolm-Jamal\u2019s Warner Family Trust.)<\/p>\n

\u201cMalcolm intended to leave his family\u2019s California home to Tenisha and MacKenzie, but instead, Pamela sold the home and converted it to cash now held by the 1996 Trust,\u201d the docs alleged. \u201cThis is the home where MacKenzie, Tenisha, and Malcolm first lived and where MacKenzie developed the core memories of her father.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tenisha claimed that she and MacKenzie can\u2019t fathom not having the Georgia house \u201cafter already losing their California home.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tenisha also alleged that she \u201cwas instructed to stop submitting household bills for payment, and no further funds were made available for the family\u2019s support\u201d after Pamela \u201csought appointment as executor of Malcolm\u2019s estate.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTenisha sacrificed her career to raise and homeschool their daughter, MacKenzie, and support Malcolm\u2019s career, leaving the family dependent on Malcolm\u2019s income and assets,\u201d the docs read. \u201cThe sudden termination of that support left Tenisha, while grieving her husband, solely responsible for the family\u2019s mortgage, utilities, taxes, insurance, medical expenses, food, transportation, and their daughter\u2019s education and activities.\u201d<\/p>\n

Us<\/em> had reached out to Tenisha and Pamela\u2019s lawyers for comment.<\/p>\n

The former Cosby Show<\/em> actor died in July 2025 after an accidental drowning while on vacation with his wife and daughter in Costa Rica. He was 54.<\/p>\n
