Officially, presidents and governors do not have the power to go \u201cactually, I order a conviction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While it\u2019s clear that Kevin Reddington is reasoning that you miss 100% of the shots that you don\u2019t take, it\u2019s unclear how this would benefit Lindsay Clancy.<\/p>\n<p>Clancy is facing state charges. The next time that Trump calls for insurgents to murder members of congress, it\u2019s unclear of what help she could be. Similarly, it\u2019s unclear if she could meet his price \u2014 if, again, he had any clemency powers that could benefit her directly.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors should really not have brought this case to trial, and instead offered a deal that acknowledges Clancy\u2019s mental state at the time.
