The Stranger Things duo are reuniting as a father and daughter duo in an upcoming series of the streaming giant, and the 51-year-old actor has opened up on their work together on the untitled project.<\/p>\n
he told E! News said: “It really is a working relationship, where we love what we bring out in each other.<\/p>\n
“You’re in service of a greater story, and we both know how to do that and think about that and talk about that.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t<\/p>\n
“I love what we have together and I love to be able to see her on a daily basis.”<\/p>\n
\nStranger Things ended in 2025 after five seasons, but David revealed he wanted to “use the building blocks of the dynamic between me and her” to “build something that was really unique and original”.<\/p>\n
\nHe added: “I go anywhere in the world and people know the relationship of Hopper and Eleven. There’s something about that I thought was so special.”<\/p>\n
\nDavid and Millie were the subject of much speculation during the final season of Stranger Things, after reports she filed a harassment and bullying complaint against him ahead of production for season five. <\/p>\n
\nHe previously told Variety the report was a “weird thing” which “came out in a weird way”, and added: \u201cStraight up, Millie and I are working on several \u2026<\/p>\n
\n\u201cYou\u2019ll see more of me and Millie \u2014 10 years wasn\u2019t enough. “There is a special bond there. I love her. She loves me.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nDavid insisted it is normal to get involved in “arguments and disagreements” with colleagues who have had a close working relationship for so long. <\/p>\n
\nHe added that they found it easy to resolve their differences once there were no other people involved. <\/p>\n
\nHe explained: \u201cIt\u2019s simple. It was just a simple rupture-and-repair thing that, once we cleared everybody out of the way and talked to each other, we\u2019re fine.”<\/p>\n
\nThe duo will be back together for the spy drama series from A24, which is being penned by Adolescence writer Jack Thorne.<\/p>\n
\nNetflix previously teased: “In the series, disgraced FBI agent turned security expert Matt Wolfe (Harbour) is drawn back into the world he left behind when his estranged daughter, Rebecca (Brown) \u2014 now an FBI agent determined to follow in his footsteps \u2014 vanishes on a mission, forcing him to return to a field that has evolved beyond him.”<\/p>\n
