Rob Reiner<\/a> has won a posthumous Creative Arts Emmy, nine months after his death. <\/p>\n

Rob Reiner wins posthumous Creative Arts Emmy<\/p>\n

The late actor and director was found stabbed to death at his Los Angeles home in December, alongside his wife, Michele Reiner. <\/p>\n

On Sunday night (06.09.26), Rob was honoured with the Guest Actor in a Comedy Series gong at the Creative Art Emmys, which took place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California, for his role as The Bear’s as Albert Schnurr. <\/p>\n

The late, great star and filmmaker saw off competition from Michael J. Fox<\/a>, Brett Goldstein, Hamish Linklater, Christopher McDonald and Connor Storrie to win the accolade. <\/p>\n

\t\t\t<\/p>\n

After Rob’s victory was announced by presenters Wendi McLendon-Covey and David Alan Grier, the audience gave the late actor a lengthy standing ovation. <\/p>\n

\nIt was Rob’s third Emmys gong. <\/p>\n

\nLast month, Rob’s son Jake Reiner told how he feels “anger and rage” over the deaths of his parents. <\/p>\n

\nThe pair’s youngest son, Nick Reiner, was subsequently charged with their murders, and his older brother Jake admitted he will “never understand” the tragedy.<\/p>\n

\nSpeaking to ABC7 Los Angeles, Jake said: “[Nick]\u2019s in jail. It\u2019s like, I physically lost my parents, and then Nick was arrested. Now it\u2019s just me and Romy, and we have to navigate this by ourselves essentially.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cFor me, it manifests into anger. It manifests into rage, into how unfair this was, how I didn\u2019t get a say in what happened.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cI didn\u2019t get to stop it from happening. I had no choice in the matter. I just have to accept the reality of it. And to me, that is just one of the most infuriating parts of all of this.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cI\u2019ll never understand. I don\u2019t care how it\u2019s explained to me. I don\u2019t care what facts come out. I will never understand why this happened.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nWhile Jake declined to discuss anything about Nick, he did confirm they haven’t spoken since their parents deaths, and insisted Rob and Michele “never stopped wanting to help” his brother, who had struggled with addiction and mental health issues.<\/p>\n

\nThe 34 year old insisted people cannot understand what he and sister Romy have been through over the last eight months.<\/p>\n

\nHe said: \u201cNobody really understands what it\u2019s like to go through something like that until you\u2019re living it. It\u2019s been eight months. It feels like eight years at the same time. And it also feels like eight minutes. Because every moment that I wake up, I\u2019m reminded of my reality.\u201d<\/p>\n
