Barbara Eden<\/strong><\/a> is speaking out about her health. <\/p>\n

The 95-year-old actress, best known for starring in I Dream of Jeannie<\/strong><\/em>, was set to appear at the Cinecon 62 Classic Film Festival <\/em>this weekend, but dropped out, with the festival saying it was “due to a sudden illness.”<\/p>\n

On Sunday morning (September 6), Barbara<\/strong> took to Twitter\/X<\/a> to share an update on her health and clarified that she was not suffering from a sudden illness.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s okay everyone! I\u2019m okay!<\/p>\n

Oh, my goodness there has been a bit of miscommunication. I\u2019m not suffering from an illness; my doctor very recently prescribed a brand-new medication that turned out to have some nasty side effects. Due to the discomfort, my doctor ordered me to remain at home until it can be sorted out.<\/p>\n

What awful timing for this to happen! My deepest appreciation to everyone for the concern.<\/p>\n

This is just a speedbump! I expect to be out and about as soon as I\u2019m given the go-ahead!<\/p>\n

Again, my love and thanks to everyone for all the concern.

Barbara Eden was scheduled to appear at Cinecon to accept an award<\/h3>\n

Barbara<\/strong> was supposed to attend the Cinecon 62 Classic Film Festival<\/em> on Saturday (September 5), where shew as to receive the Cinecon Legacy Award. In her absence, her All Hands on Deck <\/em>co-star Pat Boone<\/strong> accepted the award on her behalf. <\/p>\n

“We\u2019re sorry to share that, due to a sudden illness, Barbara Eden<\/strong> will no longer be able to appear in person at Cinecon tonight,\u201d the festival shared on\u00a0Facebook<\/a> on Saturday. \u201cBarbara<\/strong> is deeply regretful that she had to cancel at the last minute as she had been very much looking forward to seeing everyone and celebrating with us.”<\/p>\n

\u201cAlthough Barbara<\/strong> will not be able to join us in person, we will still be honoring her as planned. Co-star Pat Boone <\/strong>will accept the Cinecon Legacy Award on her behalf after tonight\u2019s screening of All Hands on Deck<\/em> (1961). Mr. Boone<\/strong> has also agreed to stay and sign autographs after the film.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know how many of you were excited to welcome Barbara<\/strong>. We appreciate your understanding and join you in sending her our best wishes for a speedy recovery,\u201d the statement concluded.<\/p>\n

Just two weeks ago, Barbara<\/strong> celebrated her 95th birthday on August 23rd.<\/p>\n
