Taylor Swift<\/b><\/a>\u2019s \u201cI Know It, I Knew You\u201d <\/span><\/a>track for Toy Story 5<\/i> is so much more than meets the eye \u2014 or ear, that is.<\/p>\n \u201cThe word daze is spelled \u2018d-a-z-e\u2019 in the lyrics, but you could also, if you wanted to think of it as days \u2018d-a-y-s\u2019 you could perceive it as that,\u201d Swift, 36, said during an interview on iHeartCountry House Party <\/i><\/span><\/a>aired on Saturday, September 5. \u201cBut, I thought of it, like, a childhood daze you look back and you see this sort of blurry, beautiful memory that\u2019s kind of blurry at the edges and blades of the grass in summer that harkens back to childhood and playing and using your imagination.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI knew you \/ Through the daze of the blades of the grass in summer,\u201d Swing sings on the song featured on the Toy Story 5<\/i> soundtrack, which dropped in June. \u201cParachutes \/ For the free fall of being younger \/ I memorized the sound of your bare footsteps.\u201d<\/p>\n Swift wrote an original song for the latest installment of the beloved Pixar films, centering the track around cowgirl figurine Jessie (voiced by Joan Cusack<\/b>) and her beloved first owner, Emily. (Jessie had long been abandoned when Emily grew up and subsequently left behind her unused toys.)<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s the added meaning of they\u2019re toys, they can only see up to the height of blades of grass,\u201d Swift added on IHeartCountry of her lyrical inspiration<\/span><\/a>. \u201c\u2018Parachutes for the free fall of being younger.\u2019 There\u2019s the actual parachute army toys in Toy Story<\/i>, as well as symbolically, somebody who helps you grow up, helps your landings be softer.\u201d<\/p>\n Swift penned the track, a return to her country music roots, after watching an early cut of the feature film.<\/p>\n
