Mandy Moore<\/strong><\/a> is dishing on her upcoming new series, The Land<\/em><\/strong>!<\/p>\n

The 42-year-old actress and singer will star in the Hulu show, reuniting her with the This Is Us<\/em> creator, Dan Fogelman<\/strong>, who also created the forthcoming football drama.<\/p>\n

In a new interview, Mandy<\/strong> teased what to expect from the upcoming series and her character. <\/p>\n

\u201cIf you love football, if you love family drama, it\u2019s like Friday Night Lights<\/em> and Succession<\/em> all kind of rolled into one,\u201d Mandy<\/strong> told Variety<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

Prior to working on the show, Mandy<\/strong> wasn’t a big football fan, and says they all had to do “crash courses” on the sport. <\/p>\n

“I still feel like I have so much to learn. I had some fantastic meetings with some incredible women that are in similar roles at different organizations at the NFL. I\u2019ve been able to pick their brains a little bit,” she said. “I joked I felt like Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a>, where I was like, \u2018Oh, I got to learn all about this.\u2019 I mean, it\u2019s different when your boyfriend-slash-husband is like a player, but I truly knew nothing.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for her character, the actress teased she’s “an absolute b****.”<\/p>\n

“I get to play this bada**, a woman in a man\u2019s world who her entire life she\u2019s been gunning for this one job and will do absolutely anything and breathes this air of sort of desperation and entitlement,” Mandy<\/strong> said. “It\u2019s so fun to play someone like so wholly different from who I am.\u201d<\/p>\n

In The Land<\/em>, Mandy<\/strong> will play Lauren, the daughter of NFL team owner Hank Durkin (William H Macy<\/strong>) and his heir apparent.<\/p>\n

The series is described as \u201ca sprawling drama\u201d with a \u201cgenerational family component.\u201d<\/p>\n
