\nWeeks after the disgraced music mogul was reportedly released from solitary confinement following an alleged fight with another inmate, Combs, 56, is now scheduled to leave the Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Dix in New Jersey on February 5, 2028, according to federal prison records reported by Page Six on Thursday (03.09.26.) <\/p>\n
\nThe latest change comes as the Bad Boy Records founder serves a 50-month sentence after being convicted in 2025 of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, while being acquitted of the more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy.<\/p>\n
\nThe projected date has changed several times during Sean\u2019s imprisonment.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t<\/p>\n
\nFederal Bureau of Prisons records reviewed by ABC News in July showed his expected release had moved from February 23, 2028, to January 24, 2028. <\/p>\n
\nNo reason was given for that adjustment.<\/p>\n
\nHis projected release subsequently moved back to February 20 before being changed again to February 5.<\/p>\n
\nThe changes have come amid reports about Sean\u2019s conduct inside Fort Dix.<\/p>\n
\nTMZ reported in July Combs became involved in an altercation after another prisoner allegedly insulted him. <\/p>\n
\nSources told the outlet the inmates scuffled before prison staff intervened and separated them.<\/p>\n
\nCombs was subsequently placed in solitary confinement, according to reports, before TMZ reported in August he had been released from the unit.<\/p>\n
\nThe Federal Bureau of Prisons has declined to discuss the specifics of Combs\u2019 confinement or disciplinary matters involving him.<\/p>\n
\nIt told Page Six: \u201cFor privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not release information regarding the conditions of confinement for any inmate, including housing assignments, nor do we discuss whether a particular inmate is the subject of allegations, investigations, or sanctions.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nCombs was transferred to Fort Dix after previously being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn following his arrest in 2024.<\/p>\n
\nThe three-time Grammy winner was convicted following a high-profile federal trial in New York in 2025.<\/p>\n
\nJurors found him guilty of two counts of transporting people to engage in prostitution under the Mann Act but acquitted him of racketeering conspiracy and two sex-trafficking charges. <\/p>\n
\nHe was subsequently sentenced to four years and two months in prison.<\/p>\n
\nCombs is appealing his conviction and sentence.<\/p>\n
\nHis lawyers appeared before the Manhattan-based Second US Circuit Court of Appeals in April, arguing the convictions should be overturned or that Sean should receive a new, shorter sentence.<\/p>\n
\nThe three-judge panel appeared divided over the case, with Judge William Nardini describing it as \u201cexceptionally difficult\u201d at the end of the hearing.<\/p>\n
\nCombs remains one of the most prominent figures in hip-hop after founding Bad Boy Records and helping launch or develop the careers of artists including The Notorious B.I.G. and Faith Evans.<\/p>\n
\nHis own biggest hits include I\u2019ll Be Missing You, his tribute to The Notorious B.I.G., as well as Bad Boy for Life. <\/p>\n
\nHe has won three Grammy Awards and previously performed under the names Puff Daddy, P. Diddy and Diddy.<\/p>\n
\nCombs continues to face numerous civil lawsuits containing allegations including sexual assault and other misconduct. <\/p>\n
\nHe has denied wrongdoing in the civil cases.<\/p>\n
