Katy is dating former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau<\/a>. And apparently it\u2019s pretty serious!<\/p>\nPerry and Bloom, who share 6-year-old daughter Daisy Dove, split in June 2025 after nearly a decade together. The timing was particularly rough, as Perry was already on the road for her tour when their relationship came to an end.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was probably the hardest time,\u201d she admitted. \u201cMy friends were all hanging out back home. I was crying and just feeling far away. But then my angels went to work. They really showed up.\u201d<\/p>\n
Apparently, those \u201cangels\u201d had a Canadian political connection.<\/p>\n
\nPerry was first linked to Trudeau after they were spotted together in July 2025. The relationship eventually became official, and the singer now sounds downright convinced that their romance was meant to happen.<\/p>\n
In fact, Perry believes she may have manifested the whole thing.<\/p>\n
The \u201cFirework\u201d singer explained that she had previously written down a list of 10 wishes for her life. Number 10?<\/p>\n
\u201cTrue Love.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cNo. 10 just says, \u2018True Love.\u2019 And I think that\u2019s where we\u2019re at,\u201d Perry said.<\/p>\n
Considering the timing, it\u2019s difficult to argue with her manifestation theory.<\/p>\n
Perry has previously described 2025 as one of the hardest years of her life. Between the breakup, the pressures of touring, and the criticism surrounding her 143 album, she had plenty of reasons to throw in the towel.<\/p>\n
\nInstead, she kept performing \u2014 with Daisy along for portions of the journey \u2014 and ultimately emerged from the chaos with a new sense of purpose and a new boyfriend.<\/p>\n
And Perry has made it clear that Trudeau isn\u2019t merely some rebound fling following her split from Bloom.<\/p>\n
She sees something fundamentally different in their relationship \u2014 something she had apparently been hoping to find all along.<\/p>\n
\u201cI went through a f\u2013k ton,\u201d Perry previously said of the difficult period. \u201cAnd there were days that were really, really, really hard.\u201d<\/p>\n
But now she has her daughter, her career and the \u201clove of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n
Not exactly the worst possible ending to a very messy chapter.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
