Dolly Parton<\/a>\u2019s Dollywood theme park is to have new \u201cexperiences and installations\u201d to honour the singer following her death. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Dolly Parton’s Dollywood to introduce new installations to honour late star<\/p>\n
The Jolene star\u2019s passing was announced on August 25 by Dolly\u2019s nephew-and-head of security, Bryan Seaver, with the country singer\u2019s nearest and dearest gathering for an intimate funeral at Nashville\u2019s Woodlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum three days later. <\/p>\n
Now bosses at Dolly\u2019s world-famous namesake theme park in Tennessee have revealed plans to permanently honour the late star – with new \u201cexperiences and installations that honor [Dolly\u2019s] remarkable contributions, enduring values and love for the people and places of the Great Smoky Mountains\u201d. <\/p>\n
The press release continued to say that visitors will be given various \u201cmeaningful opportunities to reflect on Dolly\u2019s life, her faith, and her influence while experiencing the joy, imagination and togetherness that have always been at the heart of her vision for Dollywood\u201d. <\/p>\n
\t\t\t<\/p>\n
Among the new additions will be a waterfall, which will be at the centre of a large reflection area, situated near Dollywood\u2019s Robert F. Thomas chapel. <\/p>\n
\nBosses hope that the waterfall will create \u201ca peaceful setting for guests to pause, reflect and enjoy the natural beauty that inspired so much of Dolly\u2019s life and work\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nWhile the chapel itself will get \u201cnew stained-glass windows commissioned to reflect Ecclesiastes 3:1 (ESV), the Bible verse that resonated deeply with Dolly: \u2018For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n
\nThere will also be \u201cspecial kiosks\u201d constructed in the Wildwood Grove area of Dollywood, where guests can have a \u201cplace to share their own thoughts and notes about how Dolly inspired them to dream their own big dreams\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nAnd a new character called The Dream Maker will be introduced to the theme park, as well as a new footpath which will be constructed near the entrance of the Dolly Parton Experience museum. <\/p>\n
\nThe new elements will open in Dollywood early next year.<\/p>\n
