width:calc(100% - 2px);\"\/>\n<p>He then revealed that he had spoken with her about the decision and told her he felt good about her going by her first name.<\/p>\n<p>Naturally, Billy Ray had a few famous examples to point to.<\/p>\n<p>He compared Miley\u2019s move to legendary artists including Cher, Elvis, Prince, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2026\/08\/dolly-partons-shared-tombstone-with-late-husband-revealed-as-loved-ones-gather-at-burial-site\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the late Dolly Parton<\/a> \u2014 all of whom managed to become household names without exactly needing a surname attached.<\/p>\n<p>Billy Ray even joked that he had once considered going by \u201cCyrus\u201d himself before his record label apparently had other ideas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI could have done something!!!
