The Academy Award nominee, 39, revealed via Instagram on Monday, June 29, that stepping into the squared circle with boxing trainer Nolan Hanson got him into peak physical condition, complete with six-pack abs. \u201cI\u2019ve been incredibly fortunate to train with @coachnol,\u201d Page wrote. Page also discussed his experience on the set of The Odyssey<\/em> compared to filming Inception<\/em> before his transition. The actor came out as a transgender man<\/a> in December 2020.<\/p>\n\u201cI had such a great time being in that movie \u2026 but I was also personally really uncomfortable,\u201d he said of filming Inception<\/em>. \u201cI feel like, now, because that\u2019s removed, I don\u2019t have to deal with that when I\u2019m acting, in my performances. However, before the movie\u2019s release, Nolan received criticism from some on the political right for casting Page and Lupita Nyong\u2019o<\/strong>, who played Helen of Troy.<\/p>\nIn a July interview with the U.K.\u2019s Telegraph<\/em> newspaper, Nolan said he was unbothered by backlash.<\/p>\n\u201cBut look, these conversations that happen before people see the film \u2014 they\u2019re always irrelevant, because no one having them knows what the film actually is yet,\u201d he said. \u201cAll I can do is make the best film I possibly can in the most sincere way. It\u2019s very different from how anyone else would do it, but that\u2019s what adaptation is.\u201d<\/p>\n
