Chase Stokes<\/strong><\/a> became a household name after playing John B. on Outer Banks<\/em><\/a> \u2014 but he\u2019ll never get used to the outrageous rumors about his appearance.<\/p>\n

Stokes, 33, revealed during the Tuesday, September 1, episode of \u201cI\u2019ve Never Said This Before<\/a>\u201d podcast that he considers speculation about whether he\u2019s had plastic surgery to be the \u201cmost ridiculous assumption\u201d about him online.<\/p>\n

\u201cI see these doctors who are like, \u2018He\u2019s got an upper [blepharoplasty]\u2019 and, \u2018He\u2019s got his lips done.\u2019 Like legitimate doctors,\u201d Stokes explained, noting none of the online speculation is accurate.<\/p>\n

The actor insisted, \u201cOn the record, I will say it, I\u2019ve never had any work done on my face.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stokes said that it blows his mind how adamant actual physicians have been about what he\u2019s allegedly had done \u2014 without knowing him at all.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s so funny to me to see them go into the details of it all,\u201d he shared. \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018Oh man, you should probably have your license revoked there.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Stokes ultimately laughed off the rumors<\/a>, telling listeners that he tries not to get into the weeds and social media comments no matter how outlandish they may be.<\/p>\n

\u201cI used to be a little more online with that stuff, but I\u2019ve realized to just shut up,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s so tough, but then you realize when you comment, you give them more exposure.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the Maryland native hasn\u2019t done plastic surgery, he recently shared that following the end of Outer Banks<\/em>, he realized his health had fallen to the wayside.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had so much s*** wrong,\u201d Stokes told The<\/em> Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a> on August 21. \u201cI left that show [and] my liver was failing, my kidney was failing. I had so many health issues that I had to figure out, and my brain was all out of whack.\u201d<\/p>\n

He recalled undergoing biweekly blood tests and participating in transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) therapy to get \u201cback to baseline\u201d and recenter himself before taking on more work. (Stokes has not publicly disclosed a specific diagnosis.)<\/p>\n

Now, Stokes is feeling better than ever, noting that he has shifted his fitness routine, marking the end of his John B. era once and for all.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I was doing Outer Banks<\/em>, I was intermittent fasting almost until two o\u2019clock every day,\u201d he explained to Men\u2019s Health<\/em><\/a> on Wednesday, August 26. \u201cJust so I could keep the weight off with [my character] John B., and I was drinking upwards of a gallon of water [at] that time to keep myself full.\u201d<\/p>\n

Once the show ended \u2014 the fifth and final season<\/a> premiered last month on Netflix \u2014 Stokes switched it up and is now working on fueling his body.<\/p>\n
