\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Mark Ruffalo<\/strong><\/a> is receiving support from more than 170 Jewish members of the entertainment industry amid his ongoing dispute with Paramount<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The 58-year-old Avengers<\/em> actor was recently accused by the studio of invoking \u201cantisemitic tropes\u201d<\/a> while criticizing the proposed Paramount-Warner Bros. merger and the Ellison<\/strong> family.<\/p>\n Now, a group including Hannah Einbinder<\/strong>, filmmaker Joel Coen<\/strong> and director Todd Haynes<\/strong> has signed an open letter defending Mark<\/strong> against the accusations.<\/p>\n The controversy began after Mark<\/strong>, a vocal opponent of Paramount\u2019s proposed acquisition of Warner Bros., shared a video<\/a> of Paramount board member and Oracle executive vice chair Safra Catz<\/strong> discussing technology Oracle provided to the Israeli military, urging viewers to note how she \u201crevels in\u201d the subject.<\/p>\n Oracle was co-founded by Larry Ellison<\/strong>, whose son David Ellison<\/strong> is the CEO of Paramount Skydance. Larry<\/strong> has been a major financial backer of David<\/strong>\u2018s proposed $111 billion acquisition<\/a> of Warner Bros.
