Clayton Echard<\/strong><\/a> is speaking out after the woman who accused him of fathering her unborn twins pleaded guilty to four felonies.<\/p>\n

Laura Owens<\/strong> filed a paternity lawsuit against the former The Bachelor<\/em> star in 2023, saying that he fathered her twins during a one-night stand. Weeks later, Clayton<\/strong> took a paternity test, which proved that he was not the father. <\/p>\n

Last week, Laura <\/strong>pleaded guilty to four felony charges connected to the scheme. EW<\/a><\/em> reports that she pleaded guilty to \u201ctwo counts of fraudulent schemes and artifices, one count of taking the identity of another, and one count of perjury.\u201d Sentencing will happen on September 30. <\/p>\n

Clayton<\/strong> took to his Instagram page to react to the guilty plea.<\/p>\n

\u201cYesterday was a major moment in the paternity scandal case that I\u2019ve been dealing with for the last three-and-a-half years. Yesterday, Laura agreed to plead to four felony charges. So it\u2019s the first time that we\u2019ve seen Laura take any accountability in this matter,\u201d Clayton <\/strong>said in a video message. <\/p>\n

He added, \u201cUpon the ending of yesterday\u2019s court hearing, I found myself telling the other guys, the other victims, it was anticlimactic what occurred yesterday. I felt numb and emotionless. I couldn\u2019t understand why that was\u2026 My healing was not contingent upon what happened yesterday.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m grateful for this entire experience,\u201d he said. \u201cI know that sounds backwards, but the amount of resilience that I\u2019ve built through all of this, the community that I found within all of this adversity, the power of presence that I\u2019ve gained, the insight \u2014 everything that has come from all of this \u2014 I would do it 1,000 times over. I would, because I\u2019m proud of the man that I\u2019ve become through it all, and I wouldn\u2019t have become this version of me without the adversity. I\u2019ve already found the silver lining. It does not really matter to me what happens to Laura at this point.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clayton<\/strong> does think that Laura<\/strong> needs to go to jail, where he hopes she can \u201crehabilitate.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI want Laura to heal, I want Laura to see brighter days. I don\u2019t want to see Laura rot in prison,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Clayton<\/strong> recently revealed how much money he earns from making Cameo videos<\/a> for fans.<\/p>\n
