Mandy Moore<\/a> thinks parenting is the “great equaliser”.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Mandy Moore has discussed her experience of parenting<\/p>\n
The 42-year-old star has Gus, five, Ozzie, three, and Lou, 23 months, with husband Taylor Goldsmith – but Mandy doesn’t think “anybody has it figured out” as a parent.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Extra, Mandy explained: “I think the thing about parenting is it\u2019s the great equaliser.<\/p>\n
“Like, we are all in the same boat. No one is above the chaos and the fray of having a kid or multiple children \u2026 I don’t think anybody has it figured out.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t<\/p>\n
“I think recognising it\u2019s going to be a lot, like, you are probably going to lose your patience and so not having this expectation of like parenting going off without a hitch \u2026 So, having the grace for yourself to recognise that, like, no one is immune to it, we\u2019re all going through this together as parents.”<\/p>\n
\nMandy has learned the value of calmness and patience with her children.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “Calm is contagious \u2026 Kids are sponges and they pick up on your behaviour. So, if you can find it before you blow your top, if you can find it within yourself to, like, take a deep breath and just like sigh it out, they pick up on that.”<\/p>\n
\nEarlier this month, Mandy insisted she has no intention of having more children.<\/p>\n
\nThe actress admitted that her family is already complete.<\/p>\n
\nShe told Us Weekly: “I know on Instagram, I must have engaged with someone who was pregnant because now my entire feed is just, like, pregnant people, and I\u2019m like, \u2018That\u2019s never gonna be me again’.<\/p>\n
\n“On one hand, I\u2019m like, I am so tired, I cannot imagine another baby. But then, I kind of come to terms with I probably will feel this way for the foreseeable future.”<\/p>\n
\nMandy loves being present for the landmark moments in the lives of her children.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “We are absolutely done and so grateful for our family.<\/p>\n
\n“We\u2019re savouring all the little things. We\u2019re on the precipice of potty training. We have some potties around the house [for Lou], and so I\u2019m like, \u2018Wow, we\u2019re gonna be done with diapers in the foreseeable future. Wow, there\u2019s no more bottles. There\u2019s no more all of that.\u2019”<\/p>\n
