Kelly Clarkson<\/a> thinks her TV talk-show has “saved” her.<\/p>\n

Kelly Clarkson is walking away from her TV talk-show<\/p>\n

The 44-year-old pop star has hosted The Kelly Clarkson<\/a> Show since 2019, and she’s reflected on her journey as she prepares to step away from the TV show.<\/p>\n

Kelly – who previously announced that the seventh season of the show would be the last, citing a desire to focus on her family life – said in a YouTube video: “You know what? [In our] seven seasons, a lot has happened in my personal life and a lot has happened in life for everyone.<\/p>\n

“There\u2019s been a pandemic. I think, if there\u2019s a word to describe The Kelly Clarkson<\/a> Show, it\u2019s pivot. There\u2019s not been one normal season, I feel like, but at the same time; what a necessary thing to have to come to work and focus on other people.<\/p>\n

\t\t\t<\/p>\n

“I think that saved me, honestly, a lot of times [and] I think this show has made everyone better at what they do.”<\/p>\n

\nKelly previously announced that she was quitting her daytime TV show in order to focus on her family life.<\/p>\n

\nThe chart-topping star wrote on Instagram: “I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at \u2018The Kelly Clarkson Show,’ both in Los Angeles and New York. There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans who have supported our show and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner. (sic)”<\/p>\n

\nKelly plans to spend more time with her kids, following the death of their father, Brandon Blackstock, in August 2025, aged 48.<\/p>\n

\nThe former American Idol winner – who had River Rose, 12, and Remington, ten, with Brandon – said: “This was not an easy decision, but this season will be my last hosting \u2018The Kelly Clarkson Show’. Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives. (sic)”<\/p>\n
