Scott Wolf<\/strong><\/a>‘s ex-wife Kelley<\/a><\/strong> is breaking her silence a year after suffering a mental health crisis.<\/p>\n

Back in June 2025, Scott<\/strong>, 58, and Kelley<\/strong>, 49, announced that they had separated after 21 years of marriage<\/a>. After filing for divorce that month, the Party of Five<\/em> actor was granted temporary sole custody of their three children as Kelley<\/strong> was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold<\/a>. Scott <\/strong>was then granted a temporary protective order after Kelley<\/strong> allegedly shared his phone number on social media and made “disturbing” allegations.<\/a><\/p>\n

The protective order was later dismissed and the former couple appear to be on much better terms<\/a> these days.<\/p>\n

On Friday (August 28), Kelley<\/strong> took Instagram<\/a> to share a lengthy message about her mental health as she apologized to Scott<\/strong> and their family for the “nightmare” situation.<\/p>\n

\u201cWow, I have taken about 100 deep breaths to write this. How do I even start? It\u2019s been a year since I recognized what everyone around me could see: I was not well, and I needed help,\u201d Kelley<\/strong> began. \u201cI felt like my brain had been hijacked, and the world was moving at the speed of a freight train.\u201d<\/p>\n

“It turns out that is exactly what happened, but I didn’t know it,” she continued. “I had no awareness of my actions. I was completely delusional, and it was hitting critical mass. After a year of working with incredible doctors, therapists, psychologists, and healers, I have an answer.”<\/p>\n

“What I experienced was diagnosed as breakthrough drug-induced mania with psychosis – which means it had never happened before, and I pray never again – caused by stress, past trauma, hormonal shifts, and hallucinogens mixed with prescribed medications,” Kelley<\/strong> explained. “A perfect storm. I won’t recount all of the chaos, but what has burdened my soul is my need to say…I am so sorry.”<\/p>\n

“My husband of twenty years was taken through a nightmare that wouldn’t even fly in a movie script; it was brutal,” she continued. “The things I did, said, wrote, and posted caused profound harm and were not based in truth or reality. And they caused pain I could never imagine to the people I love the most.”<\/p>\n

Kelley<\/strong> added, “My brain turned on me. In my illness, I made accusations and did things that make me shudder. I have spent my life believing in love, hope, kindness, and compassion. What I became was the opposite. Cruel. Vicious. Mean. I can try to understand what part of my mind had access to this place, and all the explanations support it.”<\/p>\n

“In mania and psychosis, people can attack the ones they love the most and believe grand and delusion ideas. I think one of mine was that I was in the CIA and that I was running for President!” she recounted. “But no matter how much science can explain, I will hold the truth that I said and did things that caused enormous pain. For that reason, I will never be the same.”<\/p>\n

Kelley<\/strong> then shared a message with those who may also be going through a similar experience.<\/p>\n

“I will always hold a sadness, a grief, a reality that everything I loved was hurt, everything I have known was lost, and what is left is a place of what I hope can be redemption and grace and purpose,” she wrote. “If you have walked through a fire that left the earth scorched behind you, I would only say: You are not alone. I have been given the gifts of humans who have shown me love, grace, compassion, and hope.”<\/p>\n

Kelley<\/strong> then wrote directly to Scott<\/strong> and their three kids.<\/p>\n

“Scott and my kids…There won’t be a day that I don’t thank God for you. Causing you pain and being the reason you suffered will haunt me for the rest of my life,” Kelley<\/strong> wrote. “It was my job to protect you, honor you, and keep you safe, and I became the cause of your heartbreak. I am sorry. You never gave up on me, and you fought like hell until you landed me in safe harbor. I owe you my life.”<\/p>\n

She continued, “To my family and friends, hurting you is a pain I cannot explain. The people who have shown up for my entire life became enemies. The things I did caused harm I deeply regret, and you still have found a way to forgive. I don’t know that I would have found that in myself, but you did\/ You have taught me what it means to love conditionally. I will never forget.”<\/p>\n

“To our community of Park City, this has been our home for 20 years, and hurting you was like burning down my own house. Thank you for loving our family and continuing to prove why this is a place where we found the meaning of home,” Kelley<\/strong> concluded. “I am sorry. Your grace has humbled me.”<\/p>\n
