There’s a reason why you haven’t seen Jason Dohring<\/strong><\/a> on your screens in recent years.<\/p>\n

The 44-year-old actor, who is best known for his role as Logan Echolls on the hit show Veronica Mars<\/em>, decided to take a step back from acting to become a farmer. <\/p>\n

Jason<\/strong> said that his new life began with a gardening hobby.<\/p>\n

Jason<\/strong> said on the Don’t Do Nothing<\/em> podcast, \u201cAbout three and a half, four years ago, I guess COVID area, I sort of got into gardening. I was like, \u2018Dude, this is so cool.\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t even notice COVID for months \u2018cause I was in my backyard, just gardening and stuff like that,\u201d he said. \u201cIt wasn\u2019t a huge thing, but then I just got an interest in it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jason<\/strong> has since built three farms in the Clearwater, Florida area, where he lives with his wife Laurie <\/strong>and their four kids. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re just making great food for people \u2018cause I really realized that people are getting sick from the food that they\u2019re eating,\u201d Jason<\/strong> said. \u201cI just really wanted to change that and the flavor of food can be so amazing and there\u2019s an art that you can create too, like with the way your farms are built and stuff. I told my agents, \u2018I\u2019m just going to go farm for a minute.\u2019 They said, \u2018Well, we\u2019re still going to send you stuff.\u2019 I said, \u2018OK, fine.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Jason <\/strong>is still open to acting and recently appeared in a short film. <\/p>\n

\u201cI love art, and when I get around art, even talking about this is exciting to me. \u2026 It\u2019s really amazing,” he said. \u201cI think there\u2019s something in everybody that is aesthetic, meaning beautiful, or wants to create. I think that, obviously, because when they see that, they feel it, so there\u2019s something in them that resonates with that, you know. I just love it.\u201d<\/p>\n
