Brittany Cartwright<\/strong><\/a> has been granted a temporary protective order against estranged husband Jax Taylor<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

On Thursday (August 27), the 37-year-old The Valley <\/em>star filed a restraining order request in Los Angeles Superior Court, accusing the 47-year-old Vanderpump Rules <\/em>alum of domestic violence, according to court documents obtained by TMZ<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

According to Brittany<\/strong>, Jax<\/strong> had allegedly exhibited \u201ccoercive control, financial abuse, emotional and psychological abuse, gaslighting and even physical violence perpetrated upon\u201d for nearly a decade.<\/p>\n

She also claimed that he once threatened to “gut [her] like a fish” and physically attacked her.<\/p>\n

A judge granted the petition, ordering Jax<\/strong> to stay 100 yards away from Brittany<\/strong>, but denied her request for sole custody of their 5-year-old son Cruz <\/strong>until a court hearing.<\/p>\n

Brittany<\/strong> filed for divorce from Jax<\/strong> in August 2024 after five years of marriage. Though they are not officially divorced yet, the former couple finalized the custody agreement<\/a> for their 5-year-old son Cruz<\/strong> in March 2026, agreeing to share joint legal and physical custody.
