The 33-year-old rap star – who has Blossom, 23 months, Wave, four, and Kulture, eight, with Offset, as well as a toddler son with Stefon Diggs – has revealed that she’s had to make compromises in her own life in order to provide for her kids.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Vogue Arabia, Cardi shared: “I try my best to have my kids around me as much as possible, but sometimes I can\u2019t be with them. Mothers have to make sacrifices.”<\/p>\n
Cardi hopes her kids will eventually understand the scale of her sacrifices.<\/p>\n

The chart-topping star said: “Lawyers also have to go out of state for some cases and that might take three weeks or a month. And they don\u2019t make excuses. It\u2019s sad, but we need to look at the bigger picture.<\/p>\n
\n“I hope that my kids look at what I do and understand, \u2018Mom was working her a** off’.<\/p>\n
\n“She wasn\u2019t clubbing, she wasn\u2019t dating, she wasn\u2019t partying … Instead, she was making sacrifices for a better living, you know what I\u2019m saying?”<\/p>\n
\nCardi is one of the best-selling artists in the world, but she previously claimed to have been happier before she found fame.<\/p>\n
\nThe Bodak Yellow hitmaker doesn’t have any money worries these days, but she bemoaned the impact of fame on her life.<\/p>\n
\nCardi – who released her second studio album, Am I the Drama?, in 2025 – told CR Fashion Book magazine: “One positive thing is that, my family, whatever they want, they get. Everything that I want to buy, I can get. I don\u2019t have to worry so much about my future.<\/p>\n
\n“One negative thing is that, even though I\u2019m happy, I feel like I was a little bit happier two or three years ago when I had less money.<\/p>\n
\n“I had less people who had opinions about my life. I felt like my life was mine. Now I feel like I don\u2019t even own my life. I feel like the world owns me.”<\/p>\n
