Married at First Sight<\/i><\/a><\/span>\u2019s Nick Uhlenhuth<\/strong> is ready for a second chance at love after his relationship with Courteney Landis<\/strong> came to an early end.<\/p>\n

\u201cI ended up going to therapy and talked through a bunch of things and did self-reflection too,\u201d Nick, 32, exclusively shared with Us<\/i> on Wednesday, August 26. \u201cI got back out in the dating world and then started having way more fun with it again and kind of being the old Nick. Now, dating\u2019s been great, and I\u2019ve actually been seeing someone for quite a few dates now so we\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Nick isn\u2019t ready to tell Us<\/i> everything about his new romance, he\u2019s proud of himself for navigating a difficult situation after being matched with Courteney on Peacock\u2019s hit reality show.<\/p>\n

While the show\u2019s experts Dr. Lisa Paz<\/strong> and Paul C. Brunson<\/strong> were initially confident that Nick and Courteney, 28, could go the distance, the pair called off their marriage weeks before the finale \u2014 better known as Decision Day.<\/p>\n

\u201cI took a pretty big break [from dating] after Married at First Sight<\/i>, just to kind of chill, decompress. Then I tried dating, and it was not going well,\u201d Nick revealed to Us<\/i>. \u201cI was overthinking everything. I was so in my head about putting my arm around a girl, even complimenting girls about their appearance and things that were just so normal before. I was getting criticized for those things in my relationship with Courteney, so I was so in my head.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Courteney and her ex reunited during the show\u2019s reunion, which premiered on Thursday, August 27, Nick said he received closure on the short-lived marriage long before the cast came back together.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been kind of living in limbo for the last year waiting for the show to air, and I was kind of gaslit into thinking maybe I was the problem,\u201d he said. \u201cWatching it back has been so satisfying and validating because I was able to see the full picture and be like, \u2018Oh, actually all these hunches I had were correct,\u2019 and that was the closure that I really needed.\u201d<\/p>\n

These days, Nick stays in contact with Cameron Mitchell<\/strong> and is thrilled to see his friend\u2019s marriage with Michelle Le<\/strong> continue to thrive<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

After appearing on The Circle<\/i>, Perfect Match<\/i> and Married at First Sight<\/i>, Nick joked that he\u2019s likely done with reality TV dating shows.<\/p>\n
